Meet the Director - Mr. Tyler Merideth

Originally from Indiana, Tyler Merideth moved to Nashville to study music at Belmont University. There he received a Bachelor of Music in Church Music and a Masters of Music in Music Education. Before coming to John Overton High School, Merideth taught Class Piano at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN and voice lessons at Pope John Paul II High School in Hendersonville, TN. As an accompanist he has performed with the Nashville Metropolitan Honors Choir, Middle Tennessee Mid-State Women’s Choir, Tennessee All-State Mixed Choir, and the International Church Music Festival Women’s Choir in Coventry, England. His choirs have performed at the Renaissance Center, the Ryman Auditorium and on 107.5 The River’s Annual Christmas Special. Currently Merideth is the accompanist for the Nashville Youth Choir and sits on the Executive Board of the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association. He is an active member in ACDA, MTVA, MENC and an alumni member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He lives in Nashville with his beautiful wife, Sherry.
